Kimberly A. Morey bio

Kim has experience from a variety of positions in commercial real estate, including legal, brokerage, development and entitlements, and, as a result, brings a unique perspective and level of expertise in her current position as in-house counsel for Diversified Partners, LLC.

Kim began her legal career in Dallas, Texas, in private practice, where she represented small, independent businesses as well as small- to mid-cap, privately and publicly-held companies. Her practice areas included general business, ERISA, insurance, employment, contract, and transportation law and class actions.

After a move to Phoenix, Arizona, she transitioned her legal career into one in commercial real estate after joining Diversified Partners as a retail associate. She has experience from all viewpoints of a deal: tenant representation, in-house leasing, and brokering raw land purchases for development. She has represented tenants ranging from private, local retailers to publicly-traded national companies. Brokerage of land purchases include developments in Casa Grande where she has taken the project from site selection and purchase to close, major site plan approval, rezoning, and all phases of development and construction.

Kim is very active in the community in a variety of philanthropic roles. She currently serves on the Board of K2 Adventures Foundation, is a Junior League of Phoenix member and serves on fundraising committees for Homeward Bound Derby Affair, New Directions Institute, school auctions, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital Emily Center. Previously, she has served as a Brokers for Kids Team Co-Captain and been involved with Homebase Youth Services and the City of Hope .

Kim has a law degree from the University of Texas and a BA from Southern Methodist University, where she attended on a full-tuition academic scholarship. At SMU, she was very active on campus and was President of her sorority, wrote for the school newspaper, served on Student Judiciary, attended Oxford University and was a member of several honoraries.
